To enable institutions to respond to this educational need, I have prepared a readily understandable course. I have included a summary of the course contents below. CERTIFICATION IN INTEGRATIVE IMMUNOPATHOLOGY.

INTRODUCTION TO THE WAYS IN WHICH IMMUNITY CAN PROMOTE HEALTH OR CAUSE DISEASE.

It is important that health practitioners understand how the immunological machinery works because, surprisingly, immunological aberrations underpin the pathogenesis of most diseases.

Immunological protection and optimal health rely on controlled interaction between many different components of the immune system. Aberrations in the activity of any of the component parts of immunity are at the very core of most diseases.  Even though immunological dysregulation plays a role in the development of the majority of diseases, few health practitioners are aware of the way in which immunity works or causes disease.

I have prepared this course to enable all health carers and students of the medical and biological sciences to understand more about the different components of the immune system and how they interact to support health or cause disease.

In this course, the participant will learn how a perfectly normal mother’s immune system can kill her unborn child, how some parts of the immune system can cause disease by mimicking the uncontrolled action of a hormone, how a healthy transplanted organ can kill the recipient, how the AIDS virus causes immune deficiency, how immune dysregulation can interfere with the blood clotting process to cause strokes, heart disease, miscarriages and much more.

The participant will also learn how a healthy mother’s immunity can cause development of autism, autism spectrum disorders, learning difficulties and dyslexia for example, in her children in later years.

The course also includes a comprehensive section outlining the various ways in which immune mechanisms have been harnessed to develop exciting new approaches to resolution of cancer.

The course introduces the biological significance of low levels of autoimmunity found in healthy people, the so-called natural autoantibodies.
